Britten Sinfonia OPUS2016

I’m honoured to have been shortlisted to take part in the OPUS2016 scheme hosted by the Britten Sinfonia. You can find an interview here. According to the Britten Sinfonia “287 composers applied to OPUS2016 from up and down the UK”, so I feel extremely privileged.

I’ll take part in the following workshops:

  1. Friday, 4 December 2015, 10.00 – 13.30, 1901 Arts Club, London, SE1 8UE.
  2. Friday, 22 January 2015, 10.00 – 17.00, Barbican Centre, London, EC2Y 8DS and Saturday, 23 January 2015, 10.00 – 17.00, Barbican Centre, London, EC2Y 8DS.

A piece for trio (piano, violin and violoncello) will be developed.

New piece for Ensemble mpmp

New song for the Portugal-based Ensemble mpmp featuring two singers, to be premiered on the 30th of September 2015 at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal. The text is from a medieval (13th century) poem by Rui Pais de Ribela, an Iberian troubadour who allegedly took part in Afonso X’s court meetings.
